What is Hormone Yoga Therapy

Hormone Yoga is a natural form of yoga created by Dinah Rodrigues that focuses on the hormonal problems in woman. Through energetic breathing techniques, exercises and controlling the energy flow in specific channels of the body, HYT works directly on targeted glands, reactivating hormone production. This results in most menopausal symptoms being eliminated and hormonal balance being restored. HYT also helps in the prevention of osteoporosis and cardiovascular diseases. By using the body’s natural recourses, HYT also assist in healing polycystic ovaries, infertility and in keeping the body fit and flexible.

Scientific research and results. 
In 1993 the results obtained by Dinah’s students were very favorable. Consequently she decided to carry out scientific research on the effects of yoga therapy practice on estradiol level and symptoms of menopause: hot flushes, uro-genital dryness, emotional instability, insomnia, tiredness, depression, migraine, infertility and hair loss amongst many others. To obtain the results, she asked the participants to do a blood test to determine their estradiol levels, before beginning the practice, and then again every month for a period of four months.  She used a detailed questionnaire to evaluate the intensity of the symptoms.   

Results of the research.
The results were very good: 100% of the students, during the three to four months of practice without medication, either had no more symptoms or if there were any symptoms, their intensity was near zero.   

Hormone level.
There was a 254% average increase in hormone level within a period of four months, with the participants doing 30 minutes of HYT every other day.
